JMI Admission 2026-27: Apply for 49 Distance and Online Courses by August 10

Jamia Millia Islamia (JMI) has started the admission process for the 2026-27 academic session for 49 distance and online programmes offered through its Centre for Distance and Online Education (CDOE). Eligible candidates can submit their applications through the official admission portal, admission.jmi.ac.in, on or before August 10, 2026.

The university is offering a wide range of Undergraduate (UG), Postgraduate (PG), Diploma, Advanced Diploma, and Certificate programmes under the Open and Distance Learning (ODL) and Online Learning (OL) modes. These programmes are designed to provide flexible learning opportunities for students, working professionals, and individuals seeking higher education without attending regular classes.

Two New Online Programmes Introduced

For the 2026-27 session, JMI has introduced two new online programmes:

Bachelor of Science (B.Sc.) in Biosciences
Master of Business Administration (MBA)

Admissions to these newly launched courses will be based on candidates' performance in the last qualifying examination, followed by a personal interview conducted by the university.

Admission Process and Selection Criteria

Admissions to most diploma, undergraduate, and postgraduate programmes will be granted on the basis of merit in the qualifying examination.

However, candidates applying for MBA (ODL) and B.Ed. programmes will have to appear for an entrance examination, which is scheduled to be held on August 22, 2026, at the Jamia Millia Islamia campus.

After evaluation, shortlisted candidates will receive admission confirmation through their registered email addresses. They will also be informed about the schedule for physical document verification.

Document Verification and Fee Payment

According to the official admission schedule, selected candidates must complete document verification and admission fee payment between August 31 and September 10, 2026.

Applicants are advised to keep all original academic certificates, identity documents, photographs, and category certificates (where applicable) ready for verification.
