Jammu & Kashmir BOPEE opens Diploma Polytechnic courses admission 2014

The Jammu and Kashmir Board of Professional Entrance Examinations (BOPEE), invites applications for admission to three year diploma polytechnic courses in Engineering & Non-Engineering discipline in government and private polytechnics of Jammu and Kashmir state, for the academic year 2014-15.

Diploma programmes are offered in:

• Fashion Technology
• T&HM
• QS&CM
• Computer
• Garment Technology
• Medical Lab Technology
• Mechanical
• Automobile
• OM&CA
• Textile Technology
• Leather Technology
• Medical Electronics
• Wood Technology
• Food Technology
• Architectural Asstt
• Information Technology

Eligibility criterion:

• Candidate must be a resident of Jammu and Kashmir.
• Candidate must have passed class 10th or equivalent examination from any of the recognised board of examinations.
• Candidates applying under Open Merit Category must have obtained not less than 40% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination and candidates applying under Reserved Categories must have secured 37% marks in aggregate in the qualifying examination.

Entrance exam:

• Entrance examination paper will contain 180 questions of one mark each with time duration of three hours.
• The question paper contains four parts, English-30 questions, Physics-40 questions, Chemistry-40 questions and Mathematics-70 questions.
• The question paper would be objective type, containing multiple choice questions.
• There will be a negative mark every wrong answer.
• The medium of the test would be in English only.

Selection procedure:
Candidates would be selected based on entrance examination scores.

How to apply:

• The application form can be obtained from the branches of Jammu & Kashmir Bank Ltd by paying Rs 800/- in cash.
• The application forms can also be obtained from the two offices of the J&K Board of Professional Entrance Examinations, Bagat-i-Barzulla, Srinagar, Opposite J&K Bank, Barzulla, Srinagar-190005 and 4thfloor, South Block, Bahu Plaza Jammu-180012.
• The applications can also be submitted online through BOPEE's official website.

Last date for submission of application form is 12th April 2014.
