ISRO Young Scientist Program 2020 Registration Started

Indian Space Research Organization (ISRO) is all set to conduct the Young Scientist Programme, Yuva Vigyani Karyakram (YUVIKA) 2020 between May 11 and 22. The online application process for the second edition of ISRO Young Scientist Program will begin from February 3 onwards. Interested candidates can visit the official website to register for the programme.

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020

The programme aims to impart the basic knowledge of Space Technology, Space Science and Space Applications to the younger ones. The programme creates awareness amongst the youngsters who are the future building blocks of the country.

ISRO Young Scientist Program 2020 will be of two weeks duration during summer holidays. The schedule will include invited talks, experience sharing by the eminent scientists, facility and lab visits, exclusive sessions for discussions with experts, practical and feedback sessions.

A total of three students from each State/ Union Territory will be selected to participate in the ISRO YUVIKA programme covering CBSE, ICSE and State syllabus. However, a total of five additional seats are reserved for OCI candidates across the country.

How To Become A Space Scientist In ISRO?

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Eligibility

Students who have finished 8th standard and currently studying in 9th standard (in the academic year 2019-20) will be eligible for the programme. Students who are studying in India including OCI (Overseas Citizen of India) are eligible for the programme.

ISRO Young Scientist Programme 2020: Selection Process

The selection of the candidates will be done through online registration between February 03 and 24, 2020. The shortlisting will be based on the 8th Standard academic performance and extracurricular activities. Aspirants are advised to refer the official notification for detailed weightage description.
