IIT, Patna Offers Ph.D Programme Admissions 2015
Applications are invited by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Patna for admission to Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programme.
The Ph.D programmes are offered in Physics, Mathematics, Humanities and Social Sciences and Chemistry for the session 2015.
Eligibility:
Ph.D in Science Programmes
Candidates should have:
- M.Phil or master's degree in Science in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks Or
- Master's degree in Engineering/Technology in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 6.5 or 60% of marks Or
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0. Or
- Bachelor's degree in a related area in Engineering/Technology (from any Institute other than IITs/IISc) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 8.0 or 75% of marks
Ph.D in and Social Sciences Programme
Candidates should have:
- M.Phil or master's degree in Arts/Commerce/Science in a relevant area with a minimum of 55% marks or equivalent
- Bachelor's degree from an Indian Institute of Technology (IIT) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.0 Or
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering/Technology (from any Institute other than IITs/IISc) in a relevant area with a minimum CPI of 7.5 or 80% marks
How to Apply?
- Candidates can apply online
- Candidates are requested to send final submitted application generated online duly signed along with copies of mark sheets/certificates
and other testimonials (both sides) and a demand draft for Rs 300 for general/OBC candidates and Rs 150 for SC/ST/PD and female candidates - The Demand Draft can be drawn in any nationalized bank and payable at Patna in favour of IIT Patna and send to the Assistant Registrar (Academic), Indian Institute of Technology Patna, Patliputra Colony, Patna - 800 013, Bihar
