IIT Patna invites applications for Post Doctoral Fellowship programme

IIT Patna, invites applications for its Post Doctoral Fellowship programme for the academic year 2014. Eligible candidates can apply online by visiting the official website of IITP.

Departments offering the fellowship:

• Chemistry
• Physics
• Mechanical Engineering
• Humanities and Social Sciences
  

Eligibility:

Ph.D. in relevant area and first class or equivalent at the master's degree level with at least three publications in peer-reviewed journals. Candidates who have recently submitted their doctoral thesis can also apply provided they get their degree before interview date.

Note:

The selected candidates will be offered consolidated amount of Rs. 25000/- per month. Refer to the website www.iitp.ac.in for details regarding current research areas, eligibility criteria, research fellowship, selection procedure etc. Age limit: maximum of 35 years relaxed by 5 years for women and reserved categories (Age relaxation applicable as per government of India rules) to be calculated from the last date for receipt of application.

Researchers who have been selected under DST INSPIRE Faculty Scheme, DST Women Scientists Scheme CSIR Research Associates, CSIR Nehru Science Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme, Dr. DS Kothari Post Doctoral Research Fellowship Scheme etc. are encouraged to pursue their Post Doctoral research activities in all the research areas at IIT Patna. Such requests must be forwarded with the copy of the proof that the applicant is selected under above mentioned schemes.

Duly filled up application forms (IITP-PDF-1 and IITP-PDF-2) along with attested copies of documents mentioned in the application form should be sent to: Assistant Registrar (academic), IIT Patna, Navin Govt. Polytechnic, Patliputra Colony, Patna-800 013. With the superscription "Application for IIT Patna Post Doctoral Fellowship programme in the Department of __________ (The name of the department in which the student wants to apply)'.
