IIT Hyderabad offers Ph.D and M.Tech admission 2014

Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Hyderabad, invites applications for admission to Master of Technology (M.Tech) and Doctor of Philosophy (Ph.D) programmes, commencing in 2014.

The M.Tech specialisations are offered in:

• Computer Science & Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil Engineering

The Ph.D specialisations are offered in:

• Computer Science
• Biomedical Engineering
• Biotechnology
• Liberal Arts
• Materials Science and Metallurgical Engineering
• Mechanical & Aerospace Engineering
• Electrical Engineering
• Civil Engineering
• Chemical Engineering
• Chemistry
• Physics
• Mathematics
• Design

Eligibility:
For M.Tech:
A 4-year B.Tech /B.E degree in any engineering discipline or a MSc/MS/MCA degree in a computer-science area (CS/IT), and have an excellent academic record. Candidates having professional qualifications recognized by AICTE, like AMIE, are also eligible to apply.

For Ph.D:
Candidates must have a master's Degree in relevant discipline with 60% (55% for SC/ST) of marks from any of the recognised universities.

Selection procedure:
The candidates will be selected based on written test and personal interview.

Important dates:

• Last date for the submission of the Ph.D application is on November 14, 2014.
• Last date for the submission of the M.Tech application is on November 18, 2014.
• Written test for Ph.D will be held on December 03, 2014.
• Written test for M.Tech will be held on December 04, 2014.
