Indian Institute of Forest Management, Bhopal invites applications for its PGD in Forestry Management. It is a two year full time course, run by one of the renowned education bodies of India, All India Council of Technical Education (AICTE).
The PGDFM is equivalent to a corresponding Master's Degree of an Indian University by the Association of Indian Universities (AIU). The course focuses on sharpening the skills of an individual in the field of forests, environment, livelihood and conservation as well as development management.
Admission procedure
The candidates will be selected on the basis of their CAT (Common Admission Test) score, the exam conducted by Indian Institute of Management every year. CAT scores will only make the candidate eligible, however, he has to apply separately to IIFM by filling the application form.
Eligibility
The Candidate must have at least 3 year Bachelor's degree in any disciplined pursued through the 10+2+3 system or an equivalent qualification.
Those who are in their final year of graduation examinations can also apply provided they complete the graduation before June 30, 2014 along with fulfilling the other eligibility criteria as fixed by IIFM.
The IIFM currently offers Post Graduate Diploma in Forestry Management (PGDFM), Fellow Programme in Management (FPM), M Phil in Natural Resource Management (M Phil, NRM), besides offering the Training, Research and consultancy activities. IIFM also boasts of a Nodal Centre for Doctoral Programme of Forest Research Institute (FRI) Deemed University.
