ICFAI Tripura, invites applications for its LLB programme for the academic year 2014. Candidates can apply online by logging on to the official website of ICFAI Tripura.
The eligibility criteria for admission into the LLB programme is 45% and above (40% in case of SC/ST/OBC) in aggregate in graduation (any discipline) examination or its equivalent. The scores of any national/ state level entrance test will also be considered subject to securing minimum 50% marks in the respective examination. Age of the candidate should not be more than 30 years as on 01 August, 2014.
The curriculum is most contemporary designed and developed in association with international academicians and experts. The curriculum is also framed as per the guidelines of BCI.
The unique nature of the programme is planned in a semester mode. There will be six semesters for the programme spread over three years.
Learning with Moot Court:
Faculty of Law believes that real life situations of the legal arena can be known only when the students equip themselves fully by way of practical knowledge with real sense of participation and commitment. Legal education with the help of Moot Court participation stimulates the learning zeal of students. Moot Courts are significant tools which educate and enrich the students both in the practical and theoretical aspects of legal learning. The moot courts help in understanding bar and bench relationship. Participation of students in moot courts help to gain first hand information, advocacy skills and expertise in handling the court room. Thus, the moot court process has a greater role to play in the learning curve of law students. Faculty of Law emphasises and encourages students to participate in moot court competitions at different levels. It mandates every student to play proactive role in organising and conducting moot courts.
