Gauhati University invites applications for M.Phil and Ph.D admissions

Gauhati University, invites application for its M.Phil and Ph.D programmes. The selection of the candidates will be done through an Entrance Test. The test will be conducted by the Department of English, for the year 2014.

Eligibility:
Post-graduates with minimum 50% marks in aggregate and qualified in NET- JRF.

Dates:

Ph.D:

The written Entrance Test for Ph.D will be conducted on 21st January, 2014 which will be followed by viva/ interview on 22nd January, 2014.

M.Phil

The written Entrance Test for M.Phil will be conducted on 29th January, 2014 which will be followed by viva/ interview on 30th January, 2014.

11.00 am

The number of seats available for the programme is as follows:

• M.Phil : 10 (Subject to eligibility of the candidate)
• Ph.D: 6 (Subject to eligibility of the candidate)
• 5 MPhil candidates enrolled in the current session (2013) will also become eligible for PhD seats provided they complete their MPhil programme.
