GATE 2023 Day 2 Exam ; Important Guidelines for candidates

GATE 2023: The second day exam for Graduate Aptitude Test in Engineering (GATE) 2023 will going to held today, February 5. The examination will be conducted in two shifts- forenoon and afternoon. The forenoon session will start at 9: 30 am and the afternoon session at 2:30 pm. The duration of the exam will be three hours and the question paper will consist of 65 questions for 100 marks. The GATE 2023 exam is a computer-based test (CBT), and the question paper will be displayed on the computer screen.

GATE 2023 Day 2 Exam Important Guidelines

Candidates who are appearing for the exam have to bring the admit card and valid identity proof with them. GATE 2023 admit card will include the information such as candidates, exam date and time, name of the paper appearing for, exam centre address and instructions. Candidates shall not be allowed to carry anything except the GATE 2023 admit card inside the exam hall.

It is required to report to the exam centre an hour before the exam commences. Aspirants will be allowed to occupy the allotted seat 40 minutes before the exam start. Candidates can log in and read the instructions 20 minutes before the exam. The examiner shall not allow the candidates to log in after 30 minutes from the actual exam starting time. Candidates shall not leave the exam hall until the exam is over.

A virtual scientific calculator will be available on the computer screen during the exam. Personal calculators, any type of watches, wallets, mobile phones, or any electronic or communication devices are not allowed inside the exam hall. Moreover, candidates should not carry any charts, tables or papers into the exam hall. A scribble pad will be provided to the candidates for rough work. Candidates have to mention their name and registration number on the scribble pad before using it. The scribble pad must be returned to the invigilator at the end of the exam.
