For the 2024-2025 Academic Year, Delhi University is going to accept scores from the University Grants Commission National Eligibility Test (UGC NET) for admission to PhD programs. To be admitted to PhD programs, candidates in Categories 2 and 3 will have their NET scores valid for a year.
30% of interview marks will be weighted and 70% of NET scores will be considered for admission to PhD programs. Interested and eligible candidates are expected to visit the official website of the authority; admission.uod.ac.in.

Delhi University PhD admission 2024-2025: Guidelines to Check:
Candidates will be eligible in three categories: PhD admission, Assistant Professor, and JRF (Junior Research Fellowship) based on their NET Results.
Category-1: Award of JRF and appointment as Assistant Professor - NET qualified candidates are eligible for all three - JRF, Assistant Professor, and PhD Admission.
Category-2: Appointment as Assistant Professor and admission to PhD - NET-qualified candidates are eligible for Assistant Professor and PhD Admission but not JRF.
Category-3: Admission to PhD only - NET-qualified candidates are eligible for PhD Admission, not JRF or Assistant Professor.
According to the UGC Notification dated November 7, 2022, admission under the JRF Category would be conducted. Since UGC does not conduct NET examinations in a particular subject or area, such as Portuguese, Italian, Engineering, etc., the University might conduct entrance exams for these PhD programs.
