DU COL Admission 2026 Open for Foreign Language and Professional Courses

The Campus of Open Learning (COL), University of Delhi, has commenced admissions for its one-year certificate and diploma programmes in foreign languages, along with several professional courses offered through the Department of Distance and Continuing Education (DDCE) under the School of Open Learning (SOL) for the academic session 2026-27.

The initiative aims to provide flexible and accessible learning opportunities to students, graduates, and working professionals across India.

DU COL Opens Admissions 2026 for Foreign Language and Professional Courses

According to the university, applications are open from June 11, 2026, and interested candidates can apply online until July 10, 2026, at 12:00 AM. The programmes are designed to enhance language proficiency, professional skills, and career prospects through classroom and online learning modes.

Foreign Language Courses Offered

The University of Delhi is offering certificate and diploma programmes in eight major foreign languages:

• German
• French
• Spanish
• Italian
• Portuguese
• Chinese
• Japanese
• Korean

These programmes are being conducted in collaboration with the University of Delhi's Department of Germanic and Romance Studies and Department of East Asian Studies.

In addition, the university has announced the introduction of certificate and diploma courses in Russian, offered jointly with the Department of Slavonic and Finno-Ugrian Studies. These courses will be available in both offline and online modes, enabling wider participation from learners across the country.

Professional Courses Under DDCE, SOL

Admissions for professional programmes under DDCE, SOL, COL will begin from June 17, 2026. The courses include:

• Master of Business Administration (MBA)
• Master of Library and Information Science (MLISc)
• Bachelor of Library and Information Science (BLISc)
• Post Graduate Diploma in Advertising and Digital Media Leadership (PGDADLM)

These programmes are specifically designed to support higher education, skill development, and professional advancement through flexible learning options.

Online Learning Expansion

The Open Learning Development Centre (OLDC) is preparing to launch online versions of these language courses. This initiative will enable students from different states and regions to enroll and attend classes remotely, making quality language education more accessible and inclusive.
