University of Delhi, invites applications for its Law Ph.D programmes, conducted by Faculty of Law Department.
Programme Duration: 2 years full-time course.
Eligibility Criteria:
Applicants must have secured minimum 55% marks in LL.M or 60% in LL.B degree course.
Criteria for Selection:
Stage 1 - Interested candidates need to send their research proposal to the Department of Research Committee in Law, who is to consider the applications and proposals for granting admissions.
The proposal must contain detailed synopsis (10 copies) which should be prepared in consultation with few faculty members.
It is recommended that candidates must check with the Ordinance VI-B for detailed eligibility conditions available on the University's website.
Stage 2- Short listed candidates will be required to attend an interview/ Viva Voice at Office of Dean Department of Research Committee.
Interview dates will be declared on the official website as well as notice board of Delhi University.
Stage 3- A written test may be held depending on the Department Research Committee's decision.
Fellowship criteria
The candidate who will be selected for Ph. D programme in Faculty of Law may be paid UGC Non-Net fellowship as per the University rules.
The details of such available for non-net fellowship considered are:
- UR-1 seat
- OBC-3 seats
- SC-1 seat
- ST-1 seat
In addition to the above seats non-net fellowship, all JRF, PH and teacher candidates may be registered on the basis of their Research Proposal/ Performance.
