Azim Premji University: Admissions Open for UG and PG courses 2015

Bengaluru, January 2015: The Azim Premji University announces admissions to its two year full time Masters Programmes (M.A. Education,M.A. Development and M.A. Public Policy and Governance) and three year residential Undergraduate Programme (B.Sc.or B.A. with specializations in Sciences, Social Sciences and Humanities).Azim Premji University was established in 2010 by the Azim Premji Foundation.

Admission process and dates:

Students can apply online on the University website.
Applicants will be short listed based on a written test and personal interview.
The final date for applications for the Postgraduate programmes is Feb 6, 2015 with the test scheduled in 30 centres across India on Feb 15, 2015.
The Undergraduate programme early admission applications close on Jan 12, 2015 with offers being announced in Feb 2015.
Applications for regular admissions close on May 25, 2015 with the test and interviews scheduled in June 2015.

About the Masters Programmes: Students applying to the M.A.Education programme can specialize in areas like Curriculum & Pedagogy, School Leadership & Management, and Early Childhood Education. M.A. Development students canspecialize in Public Policy, Livelihood, Health & Nutrition, Law & Governance or Sustainability.They mayalso pursue a balanced general programme withoutany specialization.

The Undergraduate Programme offers B.Sc. degree with Majors in Physics or Biology andB.A. degree with Majors in Economics or Politics or Combined Humanities (History, Philosophy, Language& Literature).
Students have the opportunity to do Minors, from a wide range (e.g. Data Sciences, Development studies, Mathematics). They can also pursue an Honours degree by taking up additional research work and projects.

Financial Assistance: The University is committed to financially support all deserving students through extensive full and part scholarships and also facilitates concessional education loans.
