The diversity of the applicants for the University of South California's Fall 2014 semester has proved that this University is equally preferred by both US and international students.
According to a press release from USC, a total of 51,800 students have applied to USC. The applicants are highly accomplished with a lot of them graduating at the top of their classes from high schools. Most of them have applied for eight or more advanced placement courses.
Only 44 percent of those who have applied are from California. The rest is a mix of students from other US and international countries. The applicants are mainly a mix of Black, Latino, Native American and Asian students.
Established in 1880, the USC is one of the world's leading private research universities and is said to be famous for its distinctive academic programs and its dynamic college activities. Since it is located in Los Angeles, the location too makes it an attractive option for students.
The University also proved various forms of financial aid for its students and provides a total of $285 million aid from all different sources. Two-thirds of the total number of undergraduates are said to receive some sort of financial aid.
