9 acre land approved for three BSF KVs

New Delhi, October 9: Home Minister Rajnath Singh Wednesday approved nine acre of land on lease to three Kendriya Vidyalayas run by Border Security Force (BSF) at its state headquarters in Jammu and Kashmir, Maharashtra and West Bengal, a home ministry statement said.

Three acre of land has been approved to each of the three Kendriya Vidyalayas situated in Sunderbani in Jammu and Kashmir, Chakur in Maharashtra and Aradhpur in West Bengal, the statement said. Sunderbani Kendriya Vidyalaya has been functioning from October 2010, Chakur school from September 2010, and the Aradhpur school from April 2011.

"BSF had requested for the approval of this land by the ministry of home affairs so that the Kendriya Vidyalayas running at the above three BSF locations could have its own school buildings," said the statement.
