75% candidates appeared for TREAT of Central University of Himachal

Central University of Himachal Pradesh (CUHP), Dharamsala had announced the admission notification for Research Degree (RD) programmes in 15 Departments / Centres, under 10 Schools of Studies for specific research area and discipline.

These programmes are Management, Environmental Sciences, Education, Humanities & Languages, Journalism, Mass Communication & New Media, Life Sciences, Mathematics, Computers & Information Science, Physical and Material Sciences, Social Sciences, and Tourism, Travel & Hospitality Management.

75% candidates appeared for TREAT of CUHP

There were two categories of applicants for admission i.e. exempted from entrance exam; candidates having JRF, NET / SLET and teaching experience of 10 years in a State or Central university or Govt. or Govt.-aided colleges/ institutions, and non-exempted.

Pro Vice Chancellor, Prof. Yoginder Verma said, "In total 1033 applications were received (347 exempted and 686 non-exempted) against 64 seats in all programmes of studies. Suitability of non-exempted applicants for admission in various RD Programmes was judged using aptitude-based common entrance examination (TREAT) which was conducted on 24th November at three examination centres; Shahpur(HP), Chandigarh, and Delhi.

In total 484 (75%) candidates appeared at three examination centres. TREAT was conducted successfully at all centres of examination. The result of TREAT and the candidates called for interview will be declared on 29th November, 2013."
