707 vacancies for sub-inspector and deputy jailer in Andhra Pradesh

Andhra Pradesh Police Recruitment Board has released notification for the posts of sub-inspector and deputy jailer. The last date to apply is October 24, 2016. The selection will be done for 707 vacancies.


33.5 percent reservation will be given to women in all positions where they can apply.


  • Sub-inspector: Candidates should be having undergraduate degree form a recognized university. The candidates belonging to SC/ ST category must have passed intermediate or equivalent exam from a recognized board.
  • Deputy Jailer: Candidates should be having postgraduate degree from a recognized university.

Physical standard: Candidates must not possess physical measurements less than those given below.


  • Height - 167.6 centimeters
  • Chest - 86.3 centimeters


  • Height - 152.5 centimeters
  • Weight - 40 kilograms
707 vacancies in Andhra Pradesh police

Age limit:

  • Sub-inspector - Candidate should be of age from 21 years to within 27 years on 1st July 2016
  • Deputy Jailer - Candidate should of age 21 years to within 30 years on 1st July 2016

Selection Process:

The selection of candidates will be done on the basis of physical test and written examination.
