7,100 registrations on October 10th for CAT 2014

IIM, Indore had offered a single day (24 hours) for online registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 on October 10, 2014.

According to reports, around 7,100 candidates had registered for CAT 2014 exam on October 10, 2014.

Overall, the number of registered candidates for CAT 2014 has increased to 1.96 lakh.

The online registration for Common Admission Test (CAT) 2014 was concluded on September 30, 2014 and a total of 1,89,759 candidates have been registered for the CAT exam.

When is compared to the number of candidates who had registered for CAT in the previous years, it can be noticed that this year's number is the lowest in the last 8 years. Does this mean that the popularity of the CAT is declining?

CAT 2014 is the gateway exam for admission to MBA programmes in IIMs and other top B-schools across the country.

As per the CAT 2014 website, the list of CAT exam centres names should be announced in second week of October 2014. But, it has not yet been announced.

They are taking time to announce the list of the CAT 2014 examination centres across the country. Candidates who have already registered for the exam, are waiting for their choice of 3 examination centres to appear for the examination.

All those who have registered and applied for CAT 2014 were asked to enter the names of 3 preferred exam cities where they would like to take the test. Allotment of test city and test centre is at the mercy of CAT 2014 conducting IIM and testing agency TCS. The candidate is unaware about which city, at which centre, on which date and at which time slot, he/she will have to take CAT 2014 exam.
