22 lakh students appearing for CBSE examination 2014

Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi has announced that, around 22 lakh students of class 10th and class 12th are appearing for examination of 2014.

CBSE is set to conduct examination from 01st March 2014. Board is yet to announce the time table for the examination of 2014.

According to the CBSE reports, a total of 13,25,627 students have registered for class 10 examination of 2014. More than 9,40,228 students had registered for class 12 examination of 2014.

Compared to the last year, more than 70,000 class 10th students and 20,000 class 12th students are appearing for the examination for this year.

22 lakh students appearing for CBSE exam

Out of 13 lakh, around 7.29 lakh students will appear for school-based summative II and around 5.96 lakh students will appear for board based external examination.

In 2013, around 21.76 lakh students appeared for the class 10th and class 12th examination.

A total of 14,700 schools students affiliated to CBSE are expected to write the examination in 2014. The increase in number of schools affiliated to CBSE this year is about 800 schools.
