University of Calcutta offers Ph.D in Chemistry program admission 2013

Department of Chemistry, University of Calcutta, Kolkata, invites applications for admission to Doctorate of Philosophy (Ph.D) in Chemistry programme, commencing in the session Dec 2013.

Entrance Test:

A written MCQ Examination of 1½ hour duration will be held in the department on Friday, 13 December 2013 at 11:30 a.m. This will be based on B. Sc. (Hons.) and M. Sc. Syllabi of this University, encompassing all the branches of Chemistry.

Eligibility:

Candidates should have a passed M.Sc in Chemistry with 55% of marks from any UGC recognised university.

Selection Procedure:

Candidates will selected based on written test score and personal interview conducted by the university.

Please Note:

Candidates who already cleared the NET / SET / SLET / GATE / Teacher Fellowship / equivalent examination, or passed the M. Phil / M. Tech / equivalent examination, need to appear at the interview directly, skipping the written test.
