Multi-city open Seminar on Employability Skills in Film+Media Industry

A multi-city seminar on ‘Film and Media Industry' is being organized by Annapurna International School of Film and Media (AISFM) in cities of Hyderabad, New Delhi and thereafter in other major cities of India.

The seminar will begin at International School of Film and Media campus in Hyderabad on 15th November and then on 16th November, 2013 in Magnolia hall Habitat World, at IHC, Lodhi Road.The seminar is intended to highlight the increasing career opportunities in films and media industry and the know how required to be successful.

The modern film industry is a challenging with very little opportunity for on the job training. There is an increasing demand for ready to deploy professionals in all aspects of film making in a multitude of areas both in front and behind the camera that relate to one another. So, it is important for aspirant to know the importance of acquiring the right skill and know how that will lead to employability and sustenance in the industry.

The seminar will commence with an introductory lecture by the President of Annapurna International School of Film and Media Chris Higgins. He will provide with invaluable insight about planning career in film and media industry. Higgins will specify a set of objective indicators that will help to an aspirant to cut through the clutter. The introductory lecture will be followed by a workshop on film direction.

Given the impetus introduced by digitization, continued growth of regional media, upcoming elections, strength in the film sector and fast increasing new media businesses, the industry is estimated to achieve a growth rate of 11.8 percent in 2013 to touch INR 917 billion. The sector is projected to grow at a healthy CAGR of 15.2 percent to reach INR 1661 billion by 2017 (FICCI-KPMG Indian Media and Entertainment Industry Report 2013)
