Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 ends today. Complete Analysis

The Common Admission Test (CAT) 2013 comes to an end today.

 

CAT 2013 exam was started on 16 Oct to 11 Nov 2013. Around 1.9 lakh candidates registered for the test. Exam was conducted across 40 cities in India.

CAT 2013 had two sections, Quantitative Ability and Data Interpretation and Verbal Ability and Logical Reasoning.

Day 1, 16 Oct: Around 4,200 students appeared for the exam. Students found Quantitative Ability & Data Interpretation sections to be tough and tricky; on the other hand, Verbal Ability & Logical Reasoning sections seemed lengthy and easy.

Day 2, 17 Oct: Students found Verbal section was difficult with long passage. Logical Reasoning was also tricky and calculation intensive. Even Quantitative section was moderate. A total of 4,555 students appeared for the test.

Day 3, 19 Oct: Verbal section was difficult while Quantitative was moderate. Logical reasoning and DI questions were easy. A total of 7,557 students appeared for the test.

Day 4, 20 Oct: As per many students who took the test on Day 4, the Quantitative section was higher in difficulty compared to the Verbal section. Many students did not have time to revise the Quantitative section. The Reading Comprehension (RC) section was easy. Around 10,473 candidates appeared for the test.

Day 5, 21 Oct: According to the students, QA and LR section were calculation intensive and time consuming. VA and DI section were easy. A total of 5,775 students appeared for the test on Day 5.

Day 6, 23 Oct: Quantitative section was very calculation intensive and time consuming while verbal was moderate in difficulty level. Around 5,887 students appeared for the CAT test on Day 6.

Day 7, 24 Oct: Students found QA section was easy but time consuming. VA was average in difficulty level. Around 6,346 candidates appeared for the test.

Day 8, 25 Oct: VA section was easy bu LR was time consuming.

Day 9, 26 Oct: QA section was moderately easy but DI and VA was average in difficulty level.

Day 10, 28 Oct: QA section was moderate in terms of difficulty level. DI and VA section was easy. LR was time consuming.

Day 11, 29 Oct: VA section was easy but LR was time consuming. QA was moderate. DI section was easy.

Day 12, 30 Oct: QA was moderate in difficulty level. DI was very calculation intensive. LR and VA sections were easy.

Day 13, 31 Oct: QA was moderate while VA was average in difficulty level. DI was easy. VA section was average.

Day 14, 1st Nov: QA and VA section were moderate in difficulty level. DI and LR sections were easy.

Day 15, 2nd Nov: QA was moderate while VA was average in difficulty level. DI was easy. VA section was average.

Day 16, 6th Nov: Two sections were filled with moderate to difficult questions.

Day 17, 7th Nov: Students found QA section was difficult. VA and LR section were easy.

Day 18, 8th Nov: QA section was relative tough compared to other sections. Candidates mentioned that the QA section was very tough to crack while the level of VA sections were relatively easy.

Day 19, 10 Nov: All the sections were filled with moderate to difficult questions.

Day 20, 11 Nov: QA and VA sections were moderate in difficulty level. DI and LR was average.
