Odisha state government has decided to scrap their Odisha Joint Entrance Examination (OJEE) from the year 2014.
Government has decided to accept Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main score for admission to Engineering courses in the state from the academic year 2014-15.
"As decided earlier, there will be no state-level JEE this year. Admission to engineering colleges will be on the basis of JEE (Main) conducted by Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE). We have asked the CBSE to allot examination centres in all districts for the convenience of aspirants," secretary, technical education, Chandra Sekhar Kumar said.
Joint Entrance Examination (JEE) Main for the year 2014 registration will commence from 15 Nov 2013.
JEE Apex board has announced the time table for JEE Main 2014 exam.
JEE Main exam is the qualifying examination for admission to Engineering courses in NITs, Central funded institutions and State funded institutions.
Now odisha will accept JEE Main examination score for admission to fill their state Engineering courses seats.
Around 163 Engineering colleges in Odisha will accept JEE Main score for undergraduate technical courses in these colleges.
JEE Main 2014 offline examination will be conducted on 6th April.
The states of Gujarat and Maharashtra also joined to accept JEE Main scores for Engineering courses admissions.
