The foundation courses offered by Delhi university, really had a stiff time, facing lot of criticism from different quarters.
In order to ease the teachers and aid them in conducting these courses, Delhi University launched a blog.
"The teachers thought it would be a good idea to have access to a blog as a common discussion forum on the four-year undergraduate course website, for sharing and building additional electronic materials for the classroom," says M. Madhusudhan, deputy dean, academics, and also the webmaster of the new blog.
Foundation courses are compulsory courses (must study) that the students of Delhi university have enrolled for the four-year undergraduate programme, that started this academic session.
The blog, especially focuses on English foundation courses, which is titled as 'Language, literature, creativity-II (English)'.
"The blog was started after the Special Orientation Modules for the foundation courses were conducted by the varsity. While studying the module, teachers raised issues that the blog hopes to address" Madhusudhan added.
The blog provides a great platform to students as well as faculties to share ideas, news and experiences. It also helps in building other electronic resources for the use of students and faculties engaging with the course.
