IIIT, Hyderabad plans to increase intake of students from 2014

International Institute of Information Technology (IIIT), Hyderabad, celebrated its 12th convocation on 26 Oct 2013 Saturday.

IIIT Hyderabad plans to increase intake for the students for professional courses from next academic year 2014-15.

IIIT-H plans to increase intake of students

Presently, IIIT-H offers about 250 students in various branches of engineering at Undergraduate level. Out of which 210 seats are offered to the students based on JEE Main scores, while 25 seats to foreign students and 15 for NTSE students.

The institute plans to increase 250 seats to 300.

Meanwhile, at the convocation ceremony, as many as 355 students, who completed B.Tech, Dual degree, M.Tech, MS by research, Ph.D or MSIT programmes, received their degree.

IIIT-Hyderabad director Dr P.J. Narayanan said the Centre for Innovation and Entrepreneurship set up at the institute became one of the largest academic incubators in the country with over 40 start-ups, 300 employees, Rs. 4-crore of annual revenue and 23,000 sq ft of space.
