South African Varsity ties with UoP
The South African University is all set to tie up with Indian University to work on research related projects.

The University of Free State (UFS), a South African University, is in collaboration with the University of Pune (UoP), India to start research in Social Science, Engineering and Technology.

The MoU was signed by the two universities in a discussion held between UoP vice chancellor Wasudeo Gade and the consulate general of the Republic of South Africa, Pule Malefane, on Wednesday, at UoP.

Speaking to the media, the director of International Studies of UoP, Vijay Khare said, "Student and faculty exchange programme will happen after the collaboration begins. Both universities will work on research-related projects."

He said, "Since India, and South Africa share historical links, the two countries would like to extend the relation in the field of education and research to strengthen bi-lateral ties."
