The Madras High Court bench has directed Teachers' Recruitment Board (TRB) to prepare a comprehensive list of eligible candidates for P G Assistant posts, including all those who had been left out from the list for certificate verification.
Justice S Nagamuthu, who refused to stay the process of certificate verification, said the results of the verification should not be released.
Hearing petitions filed by B Kalaiselvi and Jothi Abraham, the judge said if any eligible candidate had been left out, they should be included and a comprehensive list should be prepared.
The petitioners submitted though they had scored the cut off marks in the written examination they had not been called for certificate verification, though they belonged to backward class.
Besides during the earlier recruitments the ratio of candidates short listed for certificate verification based on written examination and communal roation was 1:2 and now it had been changed as 1:1.
They also submitted that they had scored weightage marks for waiting in the employment exchange for job for more than 10 years and that had not been taken into consideration.
There was no response to their representation to call them for certificate verification.
They also said that they were forty plus and would not get a chance to get the job if this recruitment was missed.
