UGC starts process of online interactions with the public.

UGC's online interaction with public
The UGC (University Grants Commission) has come up with a decision to have online interaction with the public. Hence, it has begun a process of going online for all interactions with the public.

UGC has announced that from next month, all applicants and institutions will be allowed to apply for scholarships, via online application forms.

UGC vice chairman, H.Devaraj said, "The process shall start from next month onwards, without any personal interference."

Speaking to the reporters he said, "We are already in the process of making all our interactions online. The main aim of this process is to avoid middle men and make the entire process transparent. All details of interviews with reasons on why the selection panel accepted or rejected any candidate will also be updated on the website."

"In case of any decisions held, the results of the same will be uploaded on the same day. These features will be on force from November, 2013", he added

He further revealed that, UGC is also planning to build individual web pages for colleges and institutions, accessible via UGC website. These pages will have details on each college that is concerned with UGC.
