5. Could you provide some substantial reasons as to why a learner would want to choose an open course module as against a regular structural course in a school / institution?

Dinesh: Well, there are many reasons. First is simply the availability of courses. Some of these courses may not be available in existing colleges. Secondly, since open courses are taken by a lot of students, they become rich with feedback and become very high quality very quickly. Its hard for a school to do that many iterations on the course. You can also use very high quality faculty in online courses.

6. What changes (for betterment) do you foresee, in the roles of future faculty in education?

Dinesh: For high education and specifically for business education, we see faculty changing more to mentors and facilitators. The need for passing on information is much lesser, so the need is more of context, inspiration and coaching. That's the role faculty needs to play.

7. What would you like to share about student experience and engagement in the development of open course module, for the growth and sustainability of e-learners across India?

Dinesh: For us, student involvement is critical. We build and improve courses on the basis of such feedback. One of our students gave a feedback on our leadership course that this is the best course in the country! That's what keeps us going.
