National Thermal Power Corporation offers jobs through GATE score

The National Thermal Power Corporation (NTPC), invites applications from the graduate engineers through GATE 2014 score.

NTPC limited is the largest government owned electric utilities company headquartered in New Delhi, India.

The Engineering executives trainees jobs will be available in the following disciplines:

• Electrical
• Mechanical
• Civil
• Instrumentation
• Electronics

Qualification:
Full time Bachelor's Degree in Engineering or Technology/AMIE with not less than 65% marks, taking average of all the years, irrespective of the weightage given to any particular year by the Institute/University. Final year/semester students are also eligible.
However they have to obtain at least 65% marks in their engineering degree. A candidate with the prescribed degree identified for the discipline as given below, can only apply for the post of EETs in the respective disciplines .

Age Limit:
Upper Age limit must be 27 years as on 18 Jan 2014 i.e. candidates born before 17 Jan 1987 need not apply.

Selection process:
Eligible candidates must have to appear for GATE 2014 entrance exam.

Job profile:
Once selected, candidates will undergo one year training as Engineering Executive Trainee at various units of the company. On successful completion of the training, they will be absorbed as Assistant Manager. Candidates will be posted at offices including joint ventures & subsidiary companies based on their performance during training and requirement of the company. All selected candidates will have to execute a service agreement bond wherein they will be required to serve the company for at least three years after finishing the training period. On failure to do so, they will have to pay the bond money of Rs. 2,50,000 for General and OBC category, while the candidates belonging to SC/ST/PWD category will pay Rs. 1,25,000.

Candidates have to fill the online application form with GATE 2014 registration number.
A non-refundable registration fee of Rs. 150/- is applicable to all candidates belonging to General and OBC category. SC/ST/PWD candidates are exempted from the payment of this fee.
