After getting errors in marks cards of the students, now Bangalore University has decided to issue the marks cards without photographs of candidates.
Recently, BU had issued marks cards of the candidates without photographs, which lead the university officials into trouble.
The university has introduced the system of issuing marks cards with photographs of the candidates on it with effect from Nov 2009, by obtaining photographs online from the concerned colleges.
But the colleges are not providing the proper photographs of the candidates. It has been observed that certain colleges are not providing the photos of the candidates on time.
As a result, the university is unable to print the marks cards with photographs on time, causing inordinate delay in issue of marks cards.
Therefore, in order to avoid inconvenience and hardship to the concerned students, it has been decided to print and issue marks cards without photographs of the candidates.
However, if any candidate desires to have his / her photograph printed on the marks card, he / she may have to apply for the same in an application form.
Candidates have to fill the application form along with original marks cards, a copy of the recent passport size photograph and a challan issued by the university for having remitted Rs 130/- per marks card.
