Protest at Atria Institute of Technology
On Monday, it was the students of AIT who set the protest against the closure of gates during class hours. They stood against 'stringent' rules and fines that were set against bunking of classes.

Monday, as soon as college gates opened at 8:30 am on Monday, hundreds of students assembled in front of the college and refused to enter the campus until the attendance rules and fine norms were changed.

AIT has recently introduced a rule where in a student entering the campus in the morning would not be allowed to leave the classroom until the evening, except for the hour's break for lunch.
