'PROTESTS' in many colleges. What is causing students to do so?

More than 250 teaching and non-teaching staff and students held a protest over poor security at NIFT-Bangalore campus. Midnight intruders and unruly staff are giving students of NIFT-Bangalore, particularly girls, sleepless nights.

On September 10, a man later identified as Venugopal, a tailor, trespassed into the campus in an inebriated condition.

A few days back, a cook from the NIFT canteen, allegedly drunk, ended up assaulting three girls, in addition to creating chaos. Both incidents led to the students staging a protest complaining against poor security in their campus on September 11.
