MZP students body assembly in Mizoram wants changes in Edu'n System

The MZP- Mizo Zirlai Pawl, an apex students body assembly which met on 17th September, at Vanapa Hall seeks changes in Mizoram Education System.

They said that it's finally time to overhaul the education system in Mizoram.

MZP has decided to take steps for the improvement of education system in the state, in order to take step for re-posting of attached lecturer to their respective colleges, and to have adequate and sufficient teaching staff in different colleges.

They said, "We urge the government to change the time or duration of school period, organisation and holding of 'ZOFEST' for Mizo unity, to stress on the study of Mizo nationalism and also to study the education system of the state after the implementation of CCE whether it has been carried out effectively or not".

The general election of the office bearers for the period 2013-15 was also held, where, Lalhmachhuana was elected as President, Lalsangzuala Ngente as Vice President and L. Ramdinliana Renthlei as General Secretary of the organisation.
