Continued Medical Education(CME) Program
School of Medical Sciences & Research (SMS&R), Sharda University organised Continued Medical Education (CME) Program on "Biochemical Investigation Technology to Improve Quality Reporting with Emphasis of Vitamiun D Estimation". The program was conducted by Biochemistry Department in association with Medical Education Unit.

The workshop shed light on application of enhanced Chemiluminescence technology for estimation of hormones. One of the novel parameter i.e. vitamin D was also discussed especially the latest reality of its decrease in causation of clinical condition. The program focused on the benefits of Dry chemistry over Wet chemistry and utilising VITROS fusion methodology, which is first of its kind methods installed in Greater Noida.

Dr. G.R.K Rao, Prof. & Head, Department of Biochemistry, SMS&R and Sharda Hospital, said, "This technology uses Microsensor to improve quality indices, decreasing time of labour and subjectivity associated with interpretation. Its Intellicheck technology decreases repeats and re-draws corrected report."

Recently two new autoanalysers manufactured by Johnson & Johnson, have been installed in Biochemistry laboratory of Central lab, Sharda Hospital, Greater Noida. The two autoanalysers are put in for clinical chemistry and for immunological parameters.
