PGDM admission at SPJIMR, Mumbai
The leading b-school in India, S.P. Jain Institute of Management & Research (SPJIMR), Mumbai offers two specialisations for Postgraduate Diploma in Management (PGDM) programme from the year 2013.

For the academic year 2014-16, admission for PGDM programmes commences from 13 Sept 2013.

From this year, candidates can apply for two specialisations among the four on offer.

Proposal has been confirmed by the chairperson, PGDM, Atish Chattopadhyay.

SPJIMR offers four PGDM specializations, which are

  • Finance
  • Manufacturing & Operations
  • Marketing
  • Information Management

Speaking about the change, Chattopadhyay said: "Our selection is based on specialisations. Each specialisation has a different process for selection. Students could opt for only option until last year. But what we found was that sometimes students who could not make make it in one specialisation had the necessary skill sets for the other one. But they could not opt for it. This year they can choose an option 1 and 2. If they cannot make it through the first option, they will get a shot at the second option. The result of the first option will have no bearing on the second one."
