The two world-class universities will work closely in the field of student exchange, faculty exchange and research programmes.
Mukesh Patel School of Technology Management & Engineering (MPSTME) of NMIMS University which has entered into the agreement, has always been at the forefront of innovation and has integrated new technological learning in its programs, to develop best engineers for the country.
The facility today boasts of Bosch Excellence Centre, Accenture Innovation Lab, CISCO lab and Blackberry Lab.
"Objective of this agreement is to promote the exchange of academics and innovation between the two institutes. Efforts will be made to encourage direct contact and research cooperation and exchange between our students, faculty members and expertise of the department", said Dr. Rajan Saxena, Vice Chancellor, NMIMS University.
"International collaboration is an integral part of Stevens' activities and a prerequisite for Stevens' status as a premier student centric research university", said Dr. Constantin Chassapis, Vice Provost for Academics, Stevens Institute of Technology.
"We are very excited about our recently formalised partnership NMIMS, a key partner for us in the region. We look forward to our cooperation and developing additional programs of mutual interest, which will provide new and exciting opportunities for our students, and faculty," he added.
Apart from student & faculty exchange and research collaboration, the key highlights of the association are development of combined Bachelor/Master degree programs, joint master degree programs and customised or open executive, education programs for management or engineering professionals.
Recently NMIMS University had also signed a MoU with Warwick University, UK.
