What is new in GATE 2014?

The Indian Institute of Science (IISc) and seven Indian Institutes of Technology (IITs) jointly administer the conduct of Graduate Aptitude of Test in Engineering (GATE).

GATE for the year 2014 is conducted by Indian Institute of Technology (IIT), Kharagpur.

Online registration for GATE 2014 has already started.

The changes introduced in GATE 2013, that will continue to remain in force for GATE 2014.

What is New in GATE 2014?.

• A new paper "Ecology and Evolution" is introduced in GATE 2014.
• Examinations for all the 22 papers will be conducted by online computer based test. The online examination paper will contain some questions for which numerical answers must be keyed by the candidate using the virtual keypad. Rest of the questions shall be of multiple choice question type.
• GATE 2014 examinations will be held during forenoon and afternoon sessions on alternate weekends between 1st Feb and 2nd March 2014. Exact details on complete examination schedule will be notified at a later date.

• Last date for enrollment: 1st October 2013.
• Last date for submission of online application through website: 3rd October 2013.
• Last date for receipt of print out of online application from: 10th October 2013.
• Last date for request for change in the choice of the city: 20th November 2013.
• Availability of admit card: 18th December 2013.
• GATE 2014 online examination: 1st February and 2nd March 2014.
• Announcement of results: 28th March 2014.
