Govt of India offers Commonwealth Scholarship & Fellowship Plan 2014

Government of India, Ministry of Human Resource Development, Department of Higher Education offers Commonwealth Scholarship and Fellowship Plan 2014.

The students who are interested to study in United Kingdom, can apply for this scholarship.

The nominations from India for the award of Commonwealth Scholarships in UK, would be tenable from September/ October 2014 for Higher Studies/ Research/ Specialised training, in the subjects mentioned below in UK.

Up to 65 nominations are to be sent to the Commonwealth Scholarship commission for final selection, to be made by them. Out of 65, approximatelt around 26 are for doctoral studies.

Nominated candidates will be required to take the IELTS, for which they may contact local British Council Office. An IELTS test will only be considered valid, if taken after 1st Oct 2013 and before 6th March 2014.

These scholarships will be awaded for studies:

• Cancer Research
• Cardiology
• Gynecology
• Medicine
• Dentistry
• Orthepedics
• Neurology
• ENT

Eligibility:

• The candidates should not be more than 40 years of age on 11 Oct 2013.
• The candidates must have completed tertiary education in English Medium.
