Only 11% candidates passed in CTET exam
Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE), New Delhi had announced the results of the Central Teachers Eligibility Entrance Test (CTET) July 2013 on 3rd Sept.

Only 11% of candidates passed the CTET July 2013 examination.

CBSE had conducted the CTET 2013 exam on July 28th, 2013. Entrance exam was conducted for appointment of teachers for classes 1 to 8.

Around 9.20 lakh candidates appeared for the CTET exam.

This is the first time the pass percentage for CTET conducted by the Central Board of Secondary Exam, has crossed the 10% mark after a continuous dip in performance.

CTET certification is mandatory for the appointment of teacher for classes 1 to 8, in any CBSE affiliated schools.

Around 9.40 lakh candidates registered for the test, conducted in July 2013.

According to chairman of CBSE Vineet Joshi, nothing much has changed in the exam.

"Probably candidates have understood the pattern better after the initial attempts. Probably they are better prepared. But we are happy that more candidates have managed to clear the test despite the difficulty level being maintained," he said.
