Bangalore University increased PG courses fees for the year 2013

BU increased PG courses fees
Bangalore University (BU) had increased the annual fees for postgraduate (PG) courses offered by the university for the academic year 2013-14.

The increase in fees is around 300% for science courses.

In 2012, for M.A course in English, History and Hindi subjects, students had to pay Rs 2,150/- per year. For the year 2013, it has been increased to Rs 5,050/- per year.

For other courses like Kannada, Dance and Drama, it has gone up to Rs 6,650/-.

For Science courses, it has gone up from Rs 2,000/- to Rs 7,050/-.

The fee hike is almost three times for subjects like Social Work, for which the fee is now Rs 8,050.

The university has rationalized the fee structure for students under general merit, SC/ST and OBC categories.

For payment seats, it has been increased to Rs 25,000/- to Rs 50,000/-.
