Berhampur University Opens admissions for 3years LL.B Course

The Berhampur University invites application for admissions into 3year LL.B course for the academic year 2013-14.

The admission into LL.B course shall be governed by the Regulations of Berhampur University and Rules for admission approved by the Syndicate of Berhmapur University. A candidate whose conduct is not satisfactory shall not be considered for admission.

The University has a number of Centres, which provide facilities of teaching, research and undertake extension work, namely, Women's Studies Research Centre, Biju Patnaik Computer Centre, Centre for Regional Studies, Centre for Canadian Studies and Harihar Mardaraj Distance Education Centre.

The University has a coaching centre for the Scheduled Caste and Scheduled Tribe students with financial assistance from the Associated Chambers of Commerce and Industry of India under the Scheme "affirmative action for inclusion of SCs/STs, etc.

Berhampur University was established on 2nd January 1967, after prolonged and persistent endeavour of the enlightened citizens and students of Southern Orissa. Eligibility criteria

Any person who has passed the qualifying Graduate/ Post Graduate degree examination of Berhampur University or any other examination conducted by other Universities/ Institutions which are recognised as equivalent to Berhampur University and Bar Council of India with 45% of marks (40% marks for candidate belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes) in aggregate, is eligible for admission into LL.B. Course.

Please download PDF form from website www.buodisha.edu.in. Applicants are advised to apply in the downloaded PDF form.

The hardcopy along with all enclosures and Processing-cum-Application Fee of Rs. 300/- (Rupees three hundred only) in the shape of Demand Draft drawn in favour of the PRINCIPAL, LINGARAJ LAWCOLLEGE, BERHAMPUR on any Nationalised Bank and payable at Berhampur (Ganjam) must be submitted to the Principal, Lingaraj Law College Berhampur by Speed Post / Registered Post.

Important Note for Foreign candidates

Foreign students who have passed the qualifying examination from a Foreign country taking admission in Lingaraj Law College, have to pay Rs.10,000/- along with other fee applicable from time to time. Further more, a foreign student passing the qualifying examination from any Indian/ Foreign University will have to come through the Admission Rules.

Reservation Scheme: For Scheduled Castes and Scheduled Tribes Twenty two and half percent of the sanctioned strength is reserved for candidates belonging to the Scheduled Castes and the Scheduled Tribes (S.C. 9.5% and S.T. 13%). Necessary Caste / Tribe certificate to this effect only by a Revenue Officer of the locality, not below the rank of Tahasildar must be submitted.
