NU nods for RTMNU 'carry on' 1yr relief
The Pharma students of Nagpur University finally had a sign of relief on Monday. Yes, the demands of students of Pharmacy Colleges affiliated to Nagpur University in order to the Supplementary exams, have been accepted by the University.


The Vice Chancellor of NU, Vilas Sapkal announced the extension of one year relief to the students on Monday. Students were overjoyed by the university's decision that now they can appear for the Supplementary exams.

The exams are scheduled from 1st to 10th of September, 2013. It is mentioned that this year the exams are held on Saturday's and Sunday's too.

The Supplementary exam results of Rashtrasant Tukadoji Maharaj Nagpur University (RTMNU) are likely to be declared on or before 25th September.

Last week on Thursday 1st August, hundreds of Pharmacy Students, had staged demonstrations in front of the Vice Chancellor's office, pressing their demand for continuation of Supplementary exam. There was a histrionic art, witnessed in NU, as students gathered from afar for agitation.

In the braving rains through the day , they stood outside the University premises for their demands.

This took place after the final year B.Pharm students had applied for M.Pharm admissions and paid the fees. Unfortunately, as their subjects were back and the Supplementary exams were put off, they were upset and held the protest.

Moreover, on August 1st hundreds of Pharmacy students had staged demonstrations in front of the Vice Chancellor's office, pressing their demand for continuation of Supplementary exam.

Nagpur University officials, Pro VC Mahesh Yenkie and Registrar Ashok Gomse had patiently heard their demands and put forth the same in the Board of Examination(BOE) meeting today. The officials took the decision keeping in mind the interest and career of the students and gave them relief for this year.

Students were thankful to the University officials for taking up the decision concerning their future.
