UPSC Civil Service Prelims exam for the year 2014 to be held in August

Union Public Service Commission (UPSC) has announced the dates for Civil Service Preliminary exam for the year 2014, to be held in August 24.

The changed exam date provides aspirants, a gap of one year to prepare.

The schedule for Civil Services Examination 2014 as per the UPSC calendar specifies that the notification for Civil Services (Preliminary) Examination 2014 would be released on May 17, 2014.

The last date for the receipt of application form will be June 16, 2014.

The Civil Services (Main) Examination 2014 would commence from December 14, 2014. This year it would be held from Dec 01, 2013.

Civil Services Aptitude Test (CSAT) is a test conducted by UPSC (Union Public Service Commission) every year in order to select candidates for the Civil Services Mains Exams. Those who pass the mains exams and interview can join the Prestigious Indian Government services like IAS, IPS etc.

The CSAT for the year 2013 was held on May 26, 2013.
