GU provides a list of vacant seats for admissions in degree Colleges

With the ongoing admission process for Engineering courses, the Gujarat University has also taken initiatives over the seats left vacant after the Degree courses admissions.

With more students entering the university, seeking for admissions in degree courses, the University has decided to provide the list of vacant seats, in its affiliated degree colleges.

GU said that, in the Gujarati medium commerce stream there are 786 vacant seats and in the English medium stream there are 835 seats still lying vacant.

GU has released the lists of colleges with seats vacant and asked students to approach these colleges to seek admission. According to figures released, there are around 600 seats lying vacant in Commerce stream.

The list includes:

200 seats vacant at KK Shashtri Government Commerce College, 70 at Lokmanya College of Commerce,

80 at Shree Narayana College of Commerce,

150 at SV Arts and Commerce College, and

105 at Neeldeep College of Commerce.

After gathering details from various colleges, GU has found that there are 536 BSc seats still vacant, and a list of colleges are as following.

60 seats lie vacant at MG Science College,

150 at Bhavans College of Science,

46 at KK Shah Jarodwala Maninagar Science College, 250 at RG Shah Science College and

30 at Gujarat Science College.

Moreover, GU has also decided that they would increase 60 more seats, in the biotechnology stream at KK Shastri College. Given the rush of students applying for science courses this year, GU has decided to run Gandhinagar College in two shifts, morning and evening, thus making adjustments for 800 more students.
