Common Admission Test (CAT 2013) from 16th Oct to 11th Nov

Indian Institutes of Management (IIM) have notified the dates for Common Admission Test (CAT 2013) for admission to various Management Programmes.

Which includes Post Graduate Programme (PGP) in Management and Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) at the 13 IIMs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kashipur, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, Shillong, Tiruchirappalli and Udaipur (as available).

This time CAT 2013 is being coordinated by Indian Institute of Management, Indore.

Reservations:

15% of the seats are reserved for Scheduled Caste (SC) and 7.5% for Scheduled Tribe (ST) candidates.
27% of seats are reserved for Other Backward Classes candidates belonging to the Non-creamy layer (NC-OBC).
3% seats are reserved for Differently Abled (DA) candidates.
The three categories of disability are (i) low-vision/blindness (ii) hearing impairment, and (iii) locomotor disability/cerebral palsy.
This provision is applicable if the candidate suffers from any of the listed disabilities to the extent of not less than 40%, as certified by a medical authority as prescribed and explained in the said Act.

IIM Bangalore

PGP (Post Graduate Diploma in Management), PGP-EM (Enterprise Management), PGPPM (Post Graduate Programme in Public Policy Management).

IIM Calcutta

PGP-PGDM (Post Graduate Diploma in Management) and PGP-PGDCM (Post Graduate Diploma in Computer Aided Management).

IIM Indore

PGP (Post Graduate Programme in Management) and EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management).

IIM Kashipur

PGP (Post Graduate Programme in Management) and EPGP (Executive Post Graduate Programme in Management).

IIM Kozhikode

PGP (Post Graduate Programme in Management)

IIM Lucknow

Fellow Programmes in Management (FPM) which is equivalent to Ph.D are offered at IIMs at Ahmedabad, Bangalore, Calcutta, Indore, Kozhikode, Lucknow, Raipur, Ranchi, Rohtak, RGIIM Shillong, Tiruchirappalli and EFPM at Kashipur and Raipur. Separate Advertisements by the Institutes will appear for the Fellow Programmes of each Institute.

Each IIM will shortlist candidates for second stage of selection which may be independent of each other.

The process may include Written Ability Test (WAT), Group Discussions (GD) and Personal Interviews (PI). Performance in CAT 2013 is an important component in the admission process.
