The rush of students is as an exceptional strong response to coveted scholarship scheme (up to 5 lakh per student), which is going to close on 31st July 2013.
All the divisions and departments of the university have re-scheduled their timings to help out students and their parents in the best possible ways.
However, the last date of admission at LPU without scholarship is 20th August, 2013.
LPU Chancellor Mr Ashok Mittal informed: "We have extended working hours mainly to ease out the admission process for a large number of students reaching LPU from different distant areas. This extension is also to accommodate all those meritorious students who are strongly keen to make the most of 31st July, the last day of LPU Scholarship Scheme."
He continued saying: "We want that an aspiring student should not remain devoid of quality education. Moreover, we have received students' requests that they should be allowed some extra time as sometimes they reach in the afternoon or evening hours due to certain unavoidable reasons. As such, this temporary rescheduling of daily working hours is to facilitate the students and their parents."
Due to rainy season, many of the students are reporting at late hours at the university because of train delays.
The Chief Warden of the Hostels has planned co-operative support for their settlement in guest houses & hostels.
Transport Department of the University is also chalking out special transport services to help out students to reach university campus easily and well in time.
