More than 10,000 engineering seats left vacant in Gujarat state after the first round of counselling.

Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) is conducting the counseling for the GUJCET students for engineering courses seat allotment.

The second round of counselling will take place from July 8 to 10, 2013.

Officials of the Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC) said that students will have to give online consent using their PIN numbers to participate in the second round of admissions.

Students who have obtained PIN number from the bank after paying the desired fee of Rs 350 will have to log onto www.gujacpc.nic.in to fill in the form.

Students who have gotten admission in the first round can still participate in the second round. However, their admission in the first round will be cancelled if they choose to take admission in the second round.

ACPC officials said that students who get admission in the second round of admissions will be required to report and confirm their admission at the various helpline centers during July 12-16.

There are 71 helpline centres across Gujarat including seven in Ahmedabad to help students fill in their application forms. Till now, the banks have sold more than 50,000 PIN numbers on behalf of Admission Committee for Professional Courses (ACPC).

"Students do not have to fill their choices right now. The filling up of choices will be taken up after June 10," said ACPC member secretary M N Patel.
