IBM's Analytical S/w to train Students
The Mother Teresa Women's University is using IBM's analytical software to train its students in Management courses on predictive analysis and reporting solutions, was announced here by IBM.

The software named SPSS- Statistical Products and Service Solutions was used to train students in the three-month course, designed by IBM for the University which enables educators to teach, helps management students to gain analytical skills, and supports accurate institutional research and decision-making.

What is SPSS? The IBM's software so called SPSS is a comprehensive set of data and predictive analytics tool for users, analysts and programmers. The software offers options that help colleges and universities integrate instruction into the classroom.

The registrar of Mother Teresa University, N.Kala said "In today's technology-driven world, we need to enhance curriculum planning by tailoring courses to different styles of learning. With the IBM solution, we will be able to better equip students with essential analytical skills to effectively transition into the professional world".

Moreover, there is a growing demand of skills on Big data and Analytics mixed with Business and Management education. Consulting firm McKinsey estimates that India would need 2 lakh data scientists in the next few years.

Jyothi Satyanathan, the director of Midmarket and inside sales, IBM India/South Asia told "IBM is working with over 200 Universities around the world specifically in the area of expanding and strengthening analytics curricula in order to meet the growing demand of highly skilled big data business workers of the future".
